On first launch your computer asks once whether you trust Papyrus Peak. Here's how to confirm – after that the app starts normally.
Go to downloadOpen the downloaded “Papyrus Peak.dmg” and drag Papyrus Peak into the Applications folder.
Open Papyrus Peak. macOS says: “Papyrus Peak” can't be opened … Click “Done” (not “Move to Bin”).
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down to “Security”. It says “Papyrus Peak” was blocked … Click “Open Anyway”.
Confirm with “Open Anyway” and your password or Touch ID. From now on Papyrus Peak starts normally – the question never comes back.
Does macOS say the app “is damaged”? The file was flagged during download. Please download it again from this page and open it with Safari or Chrome. If that doesn't help, email us – we'll help right away.
Run the downloaded “Papyrus Peak_x64-setup.exe”.
Click the small link “More info”.
Now a “Run anyway” button appears at the bottom. Click it.
Follow the installer. Papyrus Peak is then in the Start menu and starts normally.
Does an antivirus flag the file? That sometimes happens with new programs. Only download it from papyruspeak.de and allow it in your antivirus.
Why does my computer ask? Papyrus Peak is distributed directly through our website, not an app store, so your system asks once on first launch whether you trust the app. The app is safe: updates are digitally signed and only come from papyruspeak.de.
