Overview
We process personal data only as far as necessary to run this website and to sell and activate Papyrus Peak. We use no analytics or advertising trackers and set no advertising cookies.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you visit, Netlify processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page visited, browser information) in server logs to deliver the website and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses are also in place.
Purchase and invoice
For a purchase we process name, address, email address, chosen edition, order and payment data to perform the contract, provide the licence and issue the invoice (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Invoices and accounting records are kept for up to ten years due to tax and commercial law obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Payment with PayPal
Payment is processed by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. A PayPal script is loaded on the checkout page for this. PayPal receives the data required for payment and processes it under its own responsibility; PayPal's privacy policy applies.
Licence activation and updates
When activating and during the regular licence check (about every 30 days), the app transmits the licence key, an anonymous device identifier (a checksum from which no hardware data can be derived), the device name and the app version. This ensures a licence is used on one device (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). When checking for updates, the app transmits its version number and operating system. Your manuscripts, images and covers never leave your computer.
Contact by email
If you write to us (also via “Report a problem” or “Suggest a feature” in the app), we process your email address and message to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The app only adds the app version, operating system and language to the message – visible before you send it.
Blog and Instagram
The blog sets no cookies and has no comments. Instagram is only linked on our website; no Instagram content is loaded and no data is sent to Meta unless you click a link. After clicking, Instagram's privacy policy applies.
Admin area
A technically necessary session cookie is set for the password-protected admin area. Notifications about new orders are only sent to the operator's devices.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Contact us at kursunabdullah@outlook.de. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
